Hello. I hope this is the correct blog for the Summer Session of IT150. I wasn’t able to locate any recent student posts. Based on the syllabus and other information provided, I think this class will be very beneficial. I’m a bit apprehensive considering this is my first online class ever and the workload seems considerable.

Hello everyone, my name is Karen. I am glad to see others are confused. This is not my first online class, but this one is nothing like anything I have every experienced before. I am not sure how blogging or creating outside e-mail accounts are going to be beneficial but I am sure it will all be a positive experience in the end.

Hi all, Jim H here. If it’s any comfort I’m right there with you. I don’t believe I’ve blogged before this, or had the need to. My internet/intranet communications have always been through e-mail or Instant Messaging.
Although, I guess IM could be considered a type of blog. The only difference being that this type of blog we are doing now is a more permanent record of communications, and IM (Real Time)is not.
Not sure at this point what benefit or value (besides confusion) blogging might provide beyond this IT course. But the semester is young, and we all may be surprised at the outcome, or not.

I am a forensic accounting major, I hope this class betters my skills in the technology area and introduces me into many databases and terms throughout this course.
